From SaaS to AaSS.
AaSS (Agent as Software Solution): software you own, built and run by your AI agent.
SaaS is the software you rent by the month. Stop paying, and it’s gone. AaSS turns that around: an AI agent builds the same kind of thing for you, runs it, and you own it.
Coined by Alex Gilevich (Alex G.) in September 2026.
If you don’t know, you don’t know.
Most people think software is something you rent. For a long time, it was.
AaSS (Agent as Software Solution) is a way of doing business where an AI agent builds and runs software you own, instead of software you rent.
Look closer. Almost every tool you pay for is a database, some screens to work with it, and calls that move data from one database to another. Once you see that, you can see what you could own.
- the screens
- contact lists, a sales pipeline, reports
- product pages, the cart, the admin
- the invoice editor, the client list, what’s overdue
- the calendar, the booking page, reminders
- boards, cards, timelines
- the calls
- email in, calendar out, invoices across
- payments, shipping rates, the marketplaces
- the bank, payment links, the accountant’s export
- calendar sync, text reminders, payments
- chat alerts, file storage, the calendar

Pick one tool you pay for and name what’s in its database. You just saw what you rent.
| What you rent | What is in its database | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Customer list | every name, every conversation | theirs |
| Invoicing | every sale you ever made | theirs |
| Newsletter | your readers | theirs |
| Bookings | your calendar, your clients’ numbers | theirs |
| The spreadsheet one person understands | how the work is done | one laptop |
| What you keep when you stop paying: an export, if they offer one. | ||

Keep what works. Own what matters.
Renting and owning are two poles, and a healthy business lives between them. Flip the switch and watch what moves.
Renting is right when
the problem is one everybody shares, a law needs a certified vendor, the network is the product, or you don’t know your process yet.
Owning is right when
the process is how you’re different, your tools don’t talk to each other, you pay for features you never use, or you’d stop working if the vendor vanished.
- The dataorders, stock, customers, invoices
- The codethe screens and the rules around the data
- The processhow the work gets done, written down
Still rented either way: the AI model and the server. Rent the parts anyone can swap.
- MirrorOwn a copy of your data, in a database you control, fed from the tools you rent.
- Fill the gapsBuild the small tools no app does.
- Replace, one tool at a timeOnly when owning pays: in money, in time, or in being stuck.
- Keep what worksWhatever still earns its rent, keep renting.
The IT department you never had.
For the first time, a small business can have an IT department, a development department and a marketing department: an agent that works for the people it already has. The money that went to the software around the business can go into the business.
The agent still needs a person in charge: someone who knows the business, says clearly what’s wrong, and checks the result.

AI isn’t here to replace us. It may take over some of the work we do, but not us. It’s here to help us transform the way we think, work and live. If AI could do your whole job, that isn’t the end of you. It’s a sign to grow, to change, to evolve. Life keeps changing, and it doesn’t wait for your permission. Join it.
The fish and the rod
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them to fish and you feed them for a lifetime.
But teaching is not enough: without the rod (the tools, the hooks, the line, the whole setup) they know how to fish and still go hungry.
We teach the method and hand you the rod, setup and all.

The rod, in plain words
- The actual software from Alex G.’s own businesses, ready to run, with its agent attached.
- The templates.
- The prompts.
We teach the method and hand you the rod, setup and all.
Three doors.
- “I’m curious.”The definition, in five minutes, for someone who has never heard there’s a choice.
- “I pay for too many subscriptions.”See your own stack as databases, then check one tool: rent, or own?
- “I want to help other businesses.”The method, the rod, and a code of practice for the person who builds for others.
Building software got cheap. Keeping it didn’t.
An agent can build working software fast. Keeping it working for years is the real cost: updates, breakage, security, and a business that keeps changing under it. Agents make that lighter. They don’t make it free.
